Feng Shui, literally meaning "wind and water", is part of the ancient Chinese mysterious culture (Shenwiwenhua) and carries with it the sense that all that is mysterious, magical and hidden from view. The Chinese observed a mystical link between man/woman and his/her environment. All changes in nature resound too in man/woman. The Chinese observed over time that certain environments were more bountiful than others. Every mountain, structure, wall, window, corner and the ways in which they face wind and water, ie the elements, has a profound effect on the harmony of the occupants. Therefore, to control natures creative and destructive forces, harnessing wind and channeling water, became crucial to survival. The study of Feng Shui is the study of the heavens and the earth and their relationship to humanity. Simply by changing ones surroundings with intention, ones life changes.

The study and application of the principles of Feng Shui in contemporary Western culture has gained significant notoriety. There is in general a resurgence in all things spiritual and a desire to find pockets of peacefulness among the often stress filled experience we call life! Fung Shui has found its niche. With its ancient Chinese cultural origins and mainstream acceptance, it has captivated society. From the boardroom to the bedroom, the Feng Shui Master has replaced the 80's Psychotherapist as the new Shell answer person.
